How green I am

this time I am going to talk about how Green I am .

I think I am a green person not on purpose...

I Have Green habits like walking or rideing on my bycicle to go to university, but I think it is because I don't have money to buy a car, and I think the Transantiago is inhumanly expensive . In another way I don't eat meat , just sometimes when I am in others house . For me, being vegetarian is a Green Habit Because producing meat needs more resources than vegetables , well , before Monsanto . The other thing is that I like to leave clean the spaces that I use, like the classroom or the campus or the beach when I am in Iquique,  I hate when people leave the trash on the floor, why can't they just walk to the damn trashcan?. Even when I am drunk I do that!.
A Nice trash can.

About the eco- Organisations , I don't participate in them , but I support them, sometimes when I really understand the enviromental problem . I have to say that, for example , when there were the HydroAysén 's demonstration in 2011, I didn't understand at the beggining what the problem was or how an hydroelectric Works, but then when I started to read About That and go to the different activities, I startes to understand what was the problem was about that.

What would my friday be without the english class in the afternoon?

Today I'm going to talk about what I would do without English class on Friday's afternoon. I always have to do something important on Friday's afternoon, like today, that I have to plan a very important national discussion about Education and Gender for tomorrow. and I have to delay that because my English class. But, Now that I am thinking about that, I think that Maybe I have a lot of things to do, I am like a octopus taking every activity that is in front of me, like meetings, projects or travels . Maybe The English Class on Friday's afternoon is not the problem, Maybe I am the problem!. Well, If I didn't have ANYTHING to do on Friday's Afternoon,  I think I would just sleep all the hours that I can't sleep in the week, I would be with my friends in a relaxing way, and not just talking about how I hate the routine and how stressed I am. The other thing is that, Because I am from Iquique I have a lot of friends living near to Santiago, like La Serena or Valparaiso, I think that I would go to their houses with more planning and I didn't have to run by the last ticket on the bus station. Or maybe, If I had lucky, I would do my favorite thing in the world, it is Watch TV series or Movies with food or a beer and accompanied by my boyfriend (or my cat) in my room.

I would see Family Guy all the Friday's Afternoon

Cultural Shock or my experience in Santiago

Talking about cultural shock is an experience that I am constantly living today. Like I said in another post I am from the Chile's north. I was born in Iquique, and I always lived there until 2011, when I entered to the University and I Moved to Santiago. The anthropology says that a cultural shock is when two or more cultures link together, with their world's point of view, in some cases they are in a constant fight for hegemony or Resistence, Like United States and Latin America, and in some cases they take some things of each other and they build or are building a new culture, like in some borderline Cities. In my case I am alone in Santiago, so the Centralization's Weight is over me. First of all, I use some words, like "lapicero" instead of "lapiz scripto", o "Tipex" instead of "liquid" or "corrector", My friends in Santiago make jokes about that when I borrow those things. The other thing is that, the people in Santiago is very individualist, they do everything alone, in Iquique I always was with my friends, in my house or in another place. Past the time together was not a big problem like here, I guess it is for the long distances from a place to a another. My experience with cultural shock have been very difficult in some times, but I have been lucky about the people who I met, and things that I learned.

I can't understand how the people in Santiago can used the subway every day!

Why I Study Antropology?

Hi, I have to talk about why I study anthropology. Well, you could imagine, is a difficult question. I think that I wanted to study anthropology because I loved history, but I didn't like to remember dates, heroes and things like that. I was interested in social process, like the discovered (or colonization) of america or the Latin American Dictatoships. So I started to look for information about differents carrers that study those themes, and I found Anthropology in the University Website, the description said that it was the culture's Study, it sound very insteresting, after all, I was from Iquique were the people had a pronounced culture. So I started to study, to entry to the Chile's University you have to achieve a very high score in PSU. In that process I learned more about the carrer, I started to read about structuralism and marxism, I was very excited with the idea of a Complete social Science!.Now I am in fourth year of social anthropology, I don't Know if it was the best choice, but I am very happy with my studies.

When I went to Bolivia

Hi everyone, in this time I want to tell you about what I did in my summer’s Holidays!. On February I went to Bolivia with my boyfriend. First he Flew to Iquique, my natal city where I spend my holidays. We had fun in the beach and in parties with friends. After that we went to Bolivia, the first place was Oruro, where we saw an organization’s parade, and then we climb up a hill, where was the Oruro’s Virgin. The second part we visited, was Potosí, where we entered to the potosi’s mine, I was scared in a moment but then i was so interested in the mine’s history that I forgot it. The next day we went to Ojo del Inca’s lake, it was very pretty!. Then we went to Samaipata, a little place near cochabamba, it was very nice, but the people in the camping were a little annoying, The next parade was Santa Cruz, it was so hot!, but the forest was amazing. At the end we went to Copaccabana were we found our friends and we travelled all together to Isla del Sol!. I hope the next holiday will be cool too!.

why i want to visit México?

Well, i really want to visit México since i saw Mtv when i was in middle School, i laughed a lot with musical videos and jokes that they showed in that time. Now i want to visit that country because i'm very interested about their history, their culture and the studies that the social science have done in that place.

What i know about México is not very much, i know that they have one of the best anthropology school in latin america, and that they have a lot of studies about feminism and indigenismo. Also they have a very rich culture because there are different ethnicities living together in México, and some of they are doing interesting things like the movement of ethnic women's organized against the drug trafficking, and very important experiences like the zapatistas.

So, i want to meet some people of those movements and receive a lot of information, in fact, i was thinking about the possibility of take a graduate in that place, if i got the money of course. I still think, like when i was a teenager, that  people can be very fun in that place, their comedies are so funny!. And an last important thing, the food looks so delicious!

Zapatista Women in a Demostration
A very funny movie Called "La pastorela"
