Why I Study Antropology?

Hi, I have to talk about why I study anthropology. Well, you could imagine, is a difficult question. I think that I wanted to study anthropology because I loved history, but I didn't like to remember dates, heroes and things like that. I was interested in social process, like the discovered (or colonization) of america or the Latin American Dictatoships. So I started to look for information about differents carrers that study those themes, and I found Anthropology in the University Website, the description said that it was the culture's Study, it sound very insteresting, after all, I was from Iquique were the people had a pronounced culture. So I started to study, to entry to the Chile's University you have to achieve a very high score in PSU. In that process I learned more about the carrer, I started to read about structuralism and marxism, I was very excited with the idea of a Complete social Science!.Now I am in fourth year of social anthropology, I don't Know if it was the best choice, but I am very happy with my studies.
